I really think writing to a blog will help me with my writing and my memory keeping. I am taking Shimelle’s blogging class to give me a boost. I hope to blog about regular life, plus style, digital scrapbooking and fun online finds.
Here’s to good blogging!

I know I sure did :) This was my litle turkey decoration for my house since I was hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year. It is Luxe papers and stickers on a Say It With Letters turkey.
It's hard to believe the summer is gone, but it is. Riley has her Open House tonight and school starts Wednesday.
Me- I LOVE back-to-school time--
I love shopping for supplies. I love shopping for new clothes. I love the new schedule. I love the idea of taking classes. I seriously loved school :)
Riley is pretty well set- we just need to pick out the first day outfit and I need to get some good pictures of her that morning. Drew does not start preschool until after Labor Day- so I have some time to get him ready.
Luxe has new products from CHA Summer coming out very soon. I will be sure to post my lovely box of goodies when it arrives. I am already to dig into it!!
I have been working with some fun new product that is being release at Summer CHA next week. :)
You can see the sneaks from Luxe at their blog http://blog.luxedesigns.com/.
My first project is using the new Halloween-themed Color Me paper. This paper is so fun because you can color the images to match whatever you are making using pencils, markers, chalk, paint, etc. I even added some stickles and glossy accents for dimension. I also used the new Circle Months papers from It's About Time and cut out the October circle to mark my date.
One of the new transparencies is called Framed (a bunch of frames to be cut out and used on projects). For this layout I used the circle frame colored in orange with a paint pen to back my title. Then for the title I used the stamps in Stoney Island Upper. Purple ink on white cardstock and then cut out.
Then to round it off I used some Simply Luxe papers in black and lime.
Check back tomorrow for another project with new CHA releases!!

Why is Manhattan so fantastic? Because it is. It wouldn't have been the same story without this wonderful city - it was virtually a character in the show. This kit was inspired by a New York state of mind and was put together in honor of Sex & the City's opening weekend at the box office. Join the Luxe and the City Celebration and post on the Luxe blog by Tuesday 5 PM CST for your shot to win "the Manhattan". Check the other Luxe girls' blogs for "the Carrie", "the Miranda", "the Charlotte" and "the Samantha". Also look for our "If Carrie and Charlotte got together to crop..." t-shirts on our Facebook and MySpace pages. Have a fabulous weekend and LIVE LUXE!

What is it about Fall? I don't know, but I have always been partial to back to school shopping and fall clothing, so makybe that. Plus being a redhead- fall colors were always good for me. Whatever it is I do love the season. Unfortunately, we have not had a typically cool fall yet. I keep hoping the weather will change to stay.
What have I been doing? Well, the kids are into their school routines. Riley is doing great and loves her teacher- so that is a big plus. Drew loves his school and that makes it so easy to drop him off, knowing he is happy.
On my list of things to do this week:
WOW- I had better get busy :)
OK- I totally have no idea how people keep up with everything and have time to blog without listening to screaming children. So I have decided to blog even though my son is majorly ticked off at something and wailing at the top of his lungs= sorry Drew.
I have been very busy project related. I am working on the KI Color Album contest and some DT calls. I had a few layouts picked up for a magazine, but I need to type extensive instruction. Boy is that harder than you would think! I am spending more time with that than it took to create the layouts in the first place!!
Here are some photos from the circus
